Sophia brings a clinical, science-backed approach to every consultation. With a background in cosmetic dermatology trained across London and Paris, she creates personalized skincare strategies that address concerns ranging from acne and pigmentation to early signs of aging. Her practice is built on the belief that the half-hour before a treatment decides ninety per cent of the result — the remaining ten is dose.
Before joining Orelle in 2014, Sophia spent four years in hospital dermatology, where she learned to read skin under pressure and in poor light — a discipline she carries into the quieter rooms of private practice. She is known among her patients for her willingness to say no: to refuse a protocol that moves faster than the skin can answer, to cross out a step that adds complexity without adding value. Her consultation notes are famously short. Two ingredients, a calendar, six weeks circled in pencil.
At the clinic she leads the first-visit programme and signs every new patient plan the practice issues. She writes the Notebook column in the Journal — short, plain pieces about the body's own clock, the patience required of good skincare, and the quiet confidence that comes from doing less with more intention. She still sees continuity patients she first met a decade ago, and considers that the truest measure of her work.
We do not slow the skin down. It was already on time.

— Ch. 05 · From her patients
Sophia took the time to explain every step of my treatment plan. For the first time, I felt like someone was actually listening to my skin — not just prescribing a routine.
Patient · Brooklyn, since 2017
After years of trying everything, Sophia's approach of doing less was exactly what my skin needed. Six weeks later I finally saw the results I'd been chasing for years.
